Bringing clinical red light therapy into a device people could use at home sounded simple.
It wasn't...
It took us 14 prototypes before we had a version that worked. But the lab can only tell you so much...
Real seniors, using it in their living rooms — that's where we'd actually learn whether it worked.
We put out a call: 50 seniors over 60 with real hearing loss, willing to use the device daily for at least four weeks and tell us — honestly — what was happening. Good or bad.
The spots filled in days. We shipped the units, and waited. The feedback started coming in within the first week.
The first batch wanted a more comfortable fit for daily wear. So we developed five different silicone tip sizes — from XS to XL — to fit any ear shape naturally.
The next batch wanted a clearer way to follow their progress and stay consistent through the 4-week timeline. So we created a paper progress chart that ships with every unit — a simple way to mark each session.
Each batch taught us something the lab couldn't.
The version that ships today — the one I'm proud to show you — is the result of every one of those rounds.
